The Son 28 is a hub dynamo universally approved for all wheel sizes from 16″ to 29″ . It reaches its rated power in a 28″ wheel at about 16 km/h. It is therefore recommended if a particularly bright light is required when driving slowly or if other devices are to be operated or if batteries are expected to be charged. Compared to its predecessor, the energy loss during idling has been reduced by approx. 15% and the weight was decreased by 140 g.
Combined with the Mavic Open Pro UST rim and butted Sapim Race spokes, the Son 28 is a robust front wheel for the road, which can also be ridden tubeless.
