DT Swiss ARC 1100 DICUT 50/62 Carbon Disc Centre Lock 28″ wheelset – for aerodynamic fine-tuning
The ARC 1100 DICUT wheelset from DT Swiss improves the aerodynamics of your road bike. The rim depth of the front wheel is 50 mm. The rear wheel is equipped with a rim depth of 62 mm. With 50 mm rim depth the air resistance from the front is low and good steering control is maintained. At a depth of 62 mm at the rear you benefit from a strong sailing effect during crosswinds. Due to the redesign of the carbon rim, you get more, 20 mm to be precise, inside rim width. Consequently, more comfortable tyre widths of 25 to 28 mm can be ridden on aero or time trial bikes without increasing the rolling resistance. The 180 hub and the new Aerolite II spokes optimise the aerodynamics of the wheels. The Aerolite II spokes are flat forged and have a T-shaped spoke head, which makes them sit securely in the hub. The freehub is a Ratchet EXP freehub with 36 teeth. Unwanted idling at the start is thus kept to a minimum and your leg power is immediately converted into forward drive.

SINC:
Robust steel bearing rings are combined with ceramic balls. This means that the rolling resistance is low. The rolling resistance is further reduced by the seal on the outside and a protective ring on the inside. Furthermore, the combination of materials prevents corrosion between the ring and balls. This increases the durability of the ball bearings.

Ratchet EXP:
A ratchet and a threaded ring are integrated into the hub. This reduces the number of components required, resulting in less wear and tear and a lower weight. In addition, the heavy-duty and reliable ratchet system can be easily and quickly maintained. The no-tool concept plays a decisive role, as it allows the freehub to be replaced without any tools. The freehub has two ratchets which engage simultaneously. This means that the contact surface is large and the point load is kept small, which relieves the material and allows the freehub to work particularly reliably and precisely.

Pro Lock:
The nipple thread is coated with two-component adhesive to increase the durability of the wheels. It can still be re-trued several times without any problems, but the adhesive strength decreases slightly. The connection between the spoke and nipple cannot loosen by itself.
