Extra durable without coating: Jagwire’s Ultra-Slick shifter cables
With the Elite STS-EL Ultra-Slick cables, Jagwire is the first company to offer cables without any coating in the high-end range. The big advantage: Since no coating of any kind was used, the cables are extremely durable, as no coating can peel off and have a negative effect on friction.
In particular, 11-speed systems benefit greatly from the Ultra-Slick cables. In order to achieve such performance, cables with sensitive coatings (PTFE or polymer), in combination with special housings, have been used up to now. Thanks to the Ultra-Slick cables, this is no longer necessary.
