The Alivio Front Derailleur FD-M3120 by Shimano – Side-Swing for 2×9-speed
Shimano FD-M3120 is a front derailleur from the Alivio series for mountain bikes with 2×9-speed drivetrain. The version for medium-height clamp mounting is only compatible with a conventional chainline of 48.8 mm, while the Direct Mount and E-Type versions are also suitable for a chainline of 51.8 mm, which is 3 mm further out. The front derailleur has been equipped with the Side-Swing construction, which provides improved cable routing and smooth shifting performance with lower operating forces. In addition, there is the increased capacity of 14 teeth, which allows large chainrings with 36 teeth, and the increased clearance, which makes this front derailleur suitable for modern bikes with wide tyres, full suspension and short chainstays. FD-M3120 is made of steel and weight-saving aluminium.
