The Altus FD-M2000 from Shimano is a very affordable front derailleur for MTB, city and touring use, which is compatible with 3×9-speed gears and chainstay angles from 66 to 69 degrees. It is made entirely of sturdy steel and is attached to the frame via a clamp. Cable routing is possible both from below and from above. Thanks to an extended capacity of 18 teeth, large chainrings with 40 teeth can be shifted.
