It connects an anodised aluminium body with a steel axle for 12 x 142 mm over locknut dimensions and a freehub body made of steel, which is characterised by a fast engagement . The precision machined, greased and sealed cup & cone bearings scores with its user-friendliness. Thanks to Shimano E-Thru technology, you can always rely on the torsional stiffness of this hub.

E-Thru is a tool-free thru-axle system from Shimano that optimises the stiffness-to-weight ratio and ensures easy handling via its reliable internal cam mechanism. It is characterised by a high torsion resistance and thus also supports cornering at high speed.
