The Deore RD-T6000 rear derailleur by Shimano – with Shadow RD Technology
The Shimano Deore RD-T6000 rear derailleur is designed for touring bikes with a 10-speed drivetrain. It has a particularly flat profile, called ” Shadow” , which was first used on MTB derailleurs. Together with the single pre-tensioning, this design ensures reduced susceptibility to defects even on rough ground, prevents chain slap and reduces the risk of snagging. As is usual for Shimano, the RD-T6000 also scores with constant, smooth and easy shifting. The steel rear derailleur cages are of the SGS type (long) and are designed for cassettes up to a maximum of 11-36.

Shadow rear derailleurs from Shimano have a very flat profile, allowing for a more aggressive riding style by minimising the risk of getting stuck on obstacles. In addition, the single preload ensures that the rear derailleur does not hit the chain stay even on very uneven ground. All of this contributes to a quiet, clean-operating gearshift.
