The Shimano SLX front derailleurs FD-M7000-10 and FD-M7005-10 are the right front derailleurs for All Mountain bikers who swear by three chainrings and the benefits of the Dyna-Sys 10-speed drivetrain. The FD-M7000 impresses with its enormous shifting efficiency, powerful performance and easy operation – side-swing construction and front-pull cable routing make it possible. FD-M7005 on the other hand is a more classic model attached above or below the cage and has dual pull routing. There is a full range of mounting options for both versions, from clamp mounting to direct mount and E-type.

Dyna-Sys is the name of the 10-speed shifting system for MTBs from Shimano. It works with closer gear ratios that enable smooth and efficient shifting. Optimised gear combinations maximise propulsion and extend the life of the cassette, chain and chainring.

Side-Swing
The Shimano Side-Swing front derailleurs are controlled from the front (Front-Pull), which allows for much more efficient cable routing. This significantly improves shifting performance, especially when shifting to the large chainring – with lower operating forces. Other advantages include increased tyre clearance thanks to the slimmed-down design and noise reduction thanks to the optimised chainstay angle. In addition, Side-Swing technology favours the construction of frames with shorter chainstays, which simplify the control of the bike.
