The WH-MT601-TL-B Wheelset by Shimano – Robust trail performance in 29″
With the WH-MT601 from Shimano, you get affordable all-mountain wheels in 29″ , which are compatible with 110 mm over locknut dimension at the front and 148 mm at the rear and can be run tubeless. They offer robust performance and very good handling on the trail. The rims are made of aluminium and have a jaw width of 25 mm, so 2.4″ wide tyres are no problem. The centre features Center Lock hubs with reliable cartridge bearings, which convince with an optimal ratio of stiffness and weight according to the Shimano E-Thru thru-axle system. A micro-spline freehub made of steel is used on the rear wheel, which accepts 12-speed cassettes with 10-tooth sprockets. The wheelset was spoked with 24 stainless steel cranked spokes each front and rear.

E-Thru is a tool-free thru-axle system from Shimano that optimises the stiffness-to-weight ratio and ensures easy handling via its reliable internal cam mechanism. It is characterised by a high torsion resistance and thus also supports cornering at high speed. E-Thru thru-axle hubs and thru-axles are available in the corresponding over locknut dimensions for front and rear.
