The XT RD-T8000 rear derailleur by Shimano – Shadow technology for City & Touring riders
The Shimano XT RD-T8000 is a 10-speed rear derailleur for touring use, which has been equipped with Shadow technology, something that was not previously common in this area of application. This means that even more riders can now enjoy the flat design and the single preload, which provide more safety and prevent slapping even on rough ground. At the same time, the RD-T8000 is just as easy to operate and adjust as touring riders would want from a rear derailleur. The aluminium cages are extra-long (SGS) and handle cassettes up to 11-36 teeth.

Shadow rear derailleurs from Shimano have a very flat profile, allowing for a more aggressive riding style by minimising the risk of getting stuck on obstacles. In addition, the single preload ensures that the rear derailleur does not hit the chain stay even on very uneven ground. All of this contributes to a quiet, clean-operating gearshift.
