Every detail of the 11-speed X1 X-Horizon™ rear derailleur is designed for smooth, reliable shifting – from the larger offset of the top roller to the 12-tooth X-Sync™ chain guide roller. With unwanted chain movement a thing of the past, X-Horizon™ enables faster shifting, eliminates ” ghost shifting” and reduces shifting force and chain slap. Thanks to Cage Lock™ technology, removing and mounting the rear wheel is easier than ever.

X-Horizon™:
The parallelogram design of the X-Horizon™ rear derailleur limits movement along the horizontal axis, eliminating ” ghost shifting” while reducing shifting force. The large offset of the upper shifting roller ensures a constant chain distance in every gear for faster and more precise shifting.

X-Sync™:
X-Sync™ 1X chainrings from SRAM provide the highest performance and durability. Long SRAM X-Sync™ tooth edges grip the chain at a higher rate than standard triangular teeth. The sharp and narrow tooth profile and the rounded bevelled edges support the chain guide. To guarantee the best possible performance on muddy terrain, X-Sync™ chainrings have recesses for inner chain links and rollers to remove dirt and mud. German-made X-Sync™ chainrings are an important part of SRAM 1X™ drivetrains.

Roller Bearing Clutch™:
Roller Bearing Clutch™ rear derailleurs offer maximum drivetrain stability – even on gruelling and highly demanding terrain. Roller Bearing Clutch™ technology puts an end to wobbly derailleurs and chain slap – without sacrificing precision.

Cage Lock™
Due to the Cage Lock™ Technology in the rear derailleur, removing and fitting the rear wheel and chain is quicker and easier than ever before. Simply push the cage forward (to release the chain tension) and lock it.
